Humanitarian Aid for Venezuela
Dear CSHS Charger Band Families,
Venezuela is going through a severe economic and humanitarian crises. The population is facing severe shortages of food and medicine.
Vulnerable Venezuelans, especially children, are suffering the most. Many of us, even with the best planning, could not survive in a country where something that cost $1.00 last year costs one million dollars today. Their hyper inflation is making simple things like replacing a worn out sock or finding healthy food nearly impossible.
Please consider bringing a donation the night of our Spring Concert. There will be a box placed in front of the PAC labeled “Donations for Venezuela.”
We’ll be also accepting donations from Now until May 30th in the band hall using this same box.
Items we are accepting include:
- Non-Perishable Foods: Canned Foods, Grains, Pastas, Soups, Energy Bars, Nutritional Bars, Baby Formula and Baby Food.
- Medicines: Over the counter medications (such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen) vitamins, Feminine Products and First Aide items.
- Clothing/Other: Gently used Clothes, Shoes, Diapers, Hygienic Supplies, and Toys.
Collected items will be funneled through the Red Cross into the country.
NOTE for National Spanish Honor Society (NSHS) Students: You can get points for bringing items! Please email Amy Dunklee or tell Sra. Moss or Sra. Alarc n if you are bringing items for point opportunities.
